Thousands of Diyas Lit Before Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue at ‘Aashirwad No Divdo’ in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], September 22: The Scheduled Caste Morcha, Gujarat Pradesh BJP, organised the ‘Aashirwad No Divdo’ programme at Sarangpur, Ahmedabad, as part of the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, being observed from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki, State President of the Scheduled Caste Morcha, Gujarat Pradesh BJP and former Member of Parliament. Community members, BJP workers, social representatives and citizens participated in large numbers.
As part of the programme, thousands of diyas were lit before the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, creating a powerful visual and symbolic tribute. The initiative highlighted the values of social justice, equality, empowerment, service and nation-building associated with Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki said, “‘Aashirwad No Divdo’ is not merely a lighting ceremony; it represents our collective commitment to the ideals of service, equality, empowerment and nation-building. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar gave India a constitutional framework rooted in justice, equality and dignity, and his vision continues to inspire our efforts towards social progress.”
Dr. Solanki further said that the 25-year milestone of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life provides an opportunity to reflect on the country’s development journey and the importance of ensuring that the benefits of public welfare and development reach citizens across society.
The programme also saw participants recalling the constitutional values and social vision of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, while expressing their commitment towards social development, equality and inclusive progress.
The ‘Aashirwad No Divdo’ programme concluded with the lighting of diyas and a collective commitment to carry forward the values of Babasaheb Ambedkar and the spirit of service towards society and the nation.
